Supplier Quality Supervisor

Summary
Supplier Quality Supervisor is responsible for ensuring that the products and services purchased by their company meet high standards of quality. They work closely with suppliers to ensure they’re producing quality goods in a timely fashion, and they also monitor supplier performance to make sure they’re meeting agreed-upon standards.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Conduct audits on all Asian suppliers to align with Hyperion’s sourcing strategy and expectations.
- Manage core sub-contractors including project plan to ensure a competitive level of cost, quality, delivery and continuous improvement.
- Work with sub-contractors to identify cost saving plan and eliminate waste.
- Quality standards - Specify & control quality standards and manufacturing processes to ensure that products are made at optimal quality levels
- Customer issues - Evaluate & resolve customer quality issues using root cause analysis principles and procedures.
- Support the quality, environmental and health & safety management systems. Develop process instructions and methods of working that support and comply with the agreed criteria and current Legislation.
- Manage Engineering & Quality Control KPIs
- Manage and maintain material, product, and equipment specifications.
- Work with Hyperion global team to provide engineering support to product/business for Hyperion China
Supplier Quality and Development
- Root cause analysis- Assist suppliers in identifying root cause and corrective actions
- Evaluate supplier compliance with ISO 9001 and 14001 standards
- *Manage supplier performance with a continuous improvement mindset in the areas of Quality, Delivery, Logistics & Costing.
- Track supplier related quality performance
- Evaluate suppliers’ quality control processes
- Evaluate supplier capabilities
- Help suppliers develop new capabilities to support Hyperion
Qualifications
- Fluent in English
- Willing to travel
- Certification of ISO9001 audit and quality management is favourable
- Experience in carbide/Diamond products is a plus
- Willing to sign a non-compete with a training agreement.
Education and/or Work Experience
- Bachelor’s degree with a major of mechanical / engineering / quality
- 6-8 years’ experience in engineering / quality/ SQE position in manufacture company
