Pricing Analyst

Summary

Responsible for managing and optimizing pricing by maintaining accurate price lists, conducting cost and margin analysis, and supporting data-driven pricing decisions.

The role involves analysing market trends, competitor pricing, and cost dynamics to enhance profitability while ensuring competitiveness. Works closely with cross-functional teams (sales, finance, product, and supply chain) to align pricing strategies with business objectives. Additionally, provides insights, reporting, and supports pricing governance and continuous improvement initiatives.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Maintain, update, and distribute price lists, ensuring accuracy and alignment with global frameworks.
  • Support periodic price reviews and implement approved updates promptly; act as the POC for pricing tools and processes.
  • Monitor input costs (materials, logistics, FX) and evaluate their impact on product margins.
  • Build and maintain pricing models to assess cost-price relationships and margin sensitivity.
  • Provide actionable insights on margin performance to finance, product, and commercial teams.
  • Collaborate with product and segment teams to understand positioning, value drivers, and customer segments.
  • Analyze competitive pricing, market trends, and regional dynamics to guide pricing strategies.
  • Partner with sales, products, finance, and supply chain teams to align pricing with business objectives.
  • Communicate pricing changes, rationale, and impacts; contribute to pricing governance and CI initiatives.
  • Prepare regular pricing/margin reports and support ad hoc analysis and strategic pricing projects.

Education and/or Work Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Finance, Economics, Data Analytics, or related field.
  • 3-5 years of experience in pricing, financial analysis, or commercial analytics 

Technical Skills/Physical Requirements

  • Familiarity with ERP or pricing systems.
  • Understanding of competitive analysis and market research methodologies.
  • Strong analytical skills with proficiency in Excel and data visualization tools.
  • Ability to interpret financial data, cost structures, and margin drivers.
  • Excellent communication skills and comfort working with cross-functional teams.
  • Detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple priorities.
