Cost Accounting Specialist

Summary

Responsible for maintaining accurate financial records and supporting timely financial reporting. Handles accounts payable and receivable, reconciliations, month-end closing, cost accounting, intercompany transactions, tax reporting, and audit support. Ensures financial statements and accounting activities are accurate, reasonable, and completed in accordance with company requirements.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Conduct accounts payable function (invoice matching, supplier payment). Supplier reconciliations and confirmations.
  • Update and run periodic allocations, prepaid expenses, and accrued items.
  • Deal with other accounts receivable process
  • Reconcile sub-ledger (AR&AP) with GL.
  • Responsible for monthly closing, reports (Trail Balance, Income Statement, Balance Sheet) and BPC reporting.
  • Costing: check up on cost system; make cost adjustment; correct the mistake; prepare statements about COGS; set up standard cost; arrange annual stocktaking.
  • Ensure timely financial reporting to Headquarter.
  • Prepare bank reconciliations.
  • Handle expatriated expenses recharge and invoice to related parties.
  • Process internal invoice matching (SIH, Factoring, Web netting and ICM)
  • Support internal and external Audit
  • Tax issue: collect tax related information and declare income tax and withholding tax

Education and/or Work Experience

Bachelor's degree (B. A.) of accounting from four-year college and 3 - 4 years related experience

Technical Skills/Physical Requirements

  • Fluent in English and Mandarin both verbal and written
  • Microsoft office skill
  • Set up and operate a computerized accounting system.
