Summary
The Process Planner & Purchaser will be responsible for for creating shop folders with all supporting documentation and for pulling stock items from inventory. This role is responsible for closing all work folders when work is completed and updating status, organizing and filing all closed folders, and the inventory of various products in system utilizing various sign-out sheets. This position will assist the process planning team and shipping departments and assist with year-end inventories of products and supplies. This role will also ensure uninterrupted supply of material and services to the production team with a focus on delivery, quality, and cost. This position will issue and schedule purchase orders based on production plans, and ensure compliance with procurement policies. This position will also manage the spend data in the ERP and other applicable systems. This position interfaces with, provides quality detail, and supports customers, management, and manufacturing operations.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Create shop folders with supporting documentation
- Pull assigned stock items from inventory
- Close all Dura-Metal (DM) numbered folders with a Process Planner “opened” status
- Organize and file all closed folders
- Inventory various products in Excel from various sign-out sheets
- Assist the Process Planning Team and the Shipping Department
- Assist with the year-end inventories of products and supplies
- Expedite and adjust purchase orders to accommodate changes in the production plan
- Ensure compliance to Hyperion’s global procurement policy
- Ensure satisfaction of internal stakeholders by providing quality and timely buying services and assistance
- Support development and implementation of local sourcing strategies
- Update and manage spend data in ERP and other applicable systems according to policies and procedures

Education and/or Work Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 3-5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment
- Previous experience recording inventories preferred
- Or equivalent combination of education and experience
Technical Skills/Physical Requirements
- Excellent interpersonal communication skills, written and verbal, in support of internal and external customers
- Competent with computers, databases, and ERP systems. Proficient with Microsoft Office: Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
