Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Independent and responsible performance of diversified maintenance and repair work requiring specialized training, experience, and skills. Duties include the fully satisfactory performance of maintaining and trouble-shooting equipment in the following areas:
- Perform advanced troubleshooting and repairs on a wide variety of machines and major building systems.
- Complete maintenance checklists and inventory lists of Machines, A/C Units, Air compressors, Chillers, Mist/Dust collectors, and Coolant filtration systems.
- Implement and carry out preventative maintenance practices.
- Oversee requests to vendors for completion of machinery and equipment maintenance items and monitor vendor maintenance while on-site.
- Engineer and develop specialized machines, work fixturing, and processes for production purposes (Ex: Retrofits/CNC Conversions)
- Implement continuous improvement practices.
- Communicate purchase requests with procurement or manager.
- Perform equipment downtime and root cause failure analysis.
- Develop and implement maintenance practices for new equipment installation and start-up.
- Perform repairs to building and grounds such as painting, plumbing, flooring, doors and lighting.
- Participate in the development of safe work procedures (i.e.LOTO)
Qualifications
- Must possess strong electro/mechanical skills training or relevant maintenance experience.
- Knowledge of modern predictive maintenance technologies
- Good communication skills are required, both verbally and in writing
- Able to identify problems and update working methods, propose and implement ideas to improve processes.
- Follow EHS, quality and 6S procedures.
Technical Skills/Physical Requirements
- Requires lifting up-to 75 lbs.
- The physical demands of this position involve standing or walking including stairs.
- Engaging in activities such as bending, lifting, sitting, turning, and repetitive motion, generally in an indoor weather-controlled environment. The position involves some risk of exposure to injuries related to the physical demands of the job and requires close attention to detail and safety protocols.
- The position also requires visual and communication skills in observation of machine work and in communicating with co-workers, as well as in reading written instructions.
