Quality Control Tech & CNC Machine Operator

Summary

The Quality Technician is responsible for quality control of measuring equipment, process capability, quality plan requirements and specifications, and certification of complex components for critical applications.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Manage & perform an inspection: incoming, in-process, finished, and first-article.
  • Assist in the development & documentation of inspection procedures, certification.
  • Manage a system for all non-conforming components and conduct root-cause analysis.
  • Perform and maintain calibration program
  • Work with Engineering and Operation personnel to effectively manage inspection processes, and data collection.
  • Maintain a safe working environment per OSHA standards throughout the plant and assist in implementing any required updated safety regulations.

Pay band for this position $24.00 per hour to $27.00 per hour.

Education and/or Work Experience

  • Quality Certification preferred or classes such as GD&T
  • High School Diploma is a minimum
  • 3 years of experience in a similar quality role.
  • 5 years of experience in a manufacturing metals environment.
  • Prior experience with CMM equipment preferred.

Technical Skills/Physical Requirements

  • Experience with MS Office
  • Above average level in the use of Excel preferred.
  • A team mentality approach for all activities, the foundation of the Hyperion culture.
  • Ability to read complex blueprints, understanding of GD&T, and use geometric principles to interpret dimensions and tolerances.
  • Ability to use measuring and inspection equipment    
  • Micrometers, Indicators, Optical comparators, etc...
  • CMM programming a plus
  • Superior communication skills
  • Organization skills, including the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.
  • Attention to detail and aptitude for working with data
