Summary
This role is responsible for overseeing the Segment Management team and managing strategy and related processes (long range planning, annual strategy process, policy deployment, product roadmaps, pricing strategies, etc.). This individual will develop and implement breakthrough product and channel strategies that drive global market share, revenue & margin growth, and align the business to meet the expectations / demands of our global customer base. He or she will leverage our manufacturing capability and material applications expertise to position Hyperion as a leader relative to the competitors in the market. This is a remote position, ideally located in the Eastern Time Zone.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Direct and manage the Segment Management team, driving consistency in processes where uniform processes do not already exist
- Coordinate improved collaboration between each Segment and cross-functional peers in Operations and Supply Chain to drive improved information sharing and communication flow to the Commercial teams and ultimately our customers
- Create and execute the go-to-market strategy for all BU product lines. Analyze and recommend new or modified channels as appropriate. Identify, support, and drive plans to develop key growth markets, customers, and geographies.
- Develop and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) such as revenue vs. plan, contact rate, quote closure rate and gross profit percentage. Achieve business objectives through identifying clear targets, developing and following effective action plans, and problem solve any significant issues that may arise.
- Manage the annual Strategic Review and Long-Range Planning processes/report-out to the Hyperion leadership team.
- Coordinate with Research & Development to prioritize the new product pipeline, develop new products, manage product enhancements/redesigns according to the product roadmap. Collaborates with R&D and Operations to develop realistic product specifications that will satisfy customer and market demands.
- Develop strategies for new product introductions and commercialization. Develop product launch plans to drive rapid sales ramp to target customers. Execute product launch schedules and takes ownership of marketing plans. Ensure maximum return on new product development investment by prioritizing product development projects based on potential growth and resource intensity
- Monitory, analyze and understand industry trends and technological innovation. Develop a deep understanding of target markets and the competitive landscape. Monitor competitors and their marketing activities. Anticipate and react quickly to trends, changes in performance and competitive threats.

Education and/or Work Experience
• BS or MS in Engineering / Business (MBA a plus).
• At least 10 years commercial experience, product management desired, with extensive customer interaction.
• Proven track record of setting aggressive targets and meeting business goals through team interaction and involvement.
• Strong knowledge of sales processes, CRM systems, and sales enablement tools.
• Demonstrated experience in process optimization, efficiency improvement, and project management.
• Expertise in planning and executing projects that involve a large number of stakeholders.
• Good working knowledge of applied finance.
• Proficient computer skills required.
