Summary
The Logistics Specialist role is critical to ensuring that all inbound supply and outbound distributed shipments are effectively processed. This position will ensure the successful flow of goods for Hyperion Materials and Technologies. This person will perform all relevant tasks for the booking and receipt of shipments, including imports, exports and returns. They will ensure that all required documents are provided and accurate and will interface with the local customs offices. This position is responsible for advising on best way shipping and receiving for sourcing and commercial departments as well as the evaluation and reporting of freight costs. This is a hybrid position with 2-3 days per week in our Dublin office.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Work closely with the local teams to ensure that all relevant orders are picked and ready for shipment
- Handle all shipping documents for local and export shipments as requested by the warehouse and customer experience teams
- Book all shipments and manage communication with selected carriers, providing the communication between the commercial and operational teams
- Perform import operations for region and all required documentation request, including return shipments
- Use the Everest claims system to manage returns and claims communication
- Coordinate customs clearance documentation and communication with customs office and appropriate agencies.
- Manage intercompany shipments and transactions, facilitating communication between all stakeholders
- Review shipping and handling costs invoices in MediusFlow
- Understand site shipping costs through the use of Intelligent Audit freight cost reporting

Education and/or Work Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, or a related field with at least one year of experience in logistics or supply chain management.
- Alternatively, a professional education in business administration with minimum of 3 years of experience in logistics or supply chain management.
- Customs & Logistics Certifications are beneficial.
Technical Skills/Physical Requirements
- Proficient in using ERP system, knowledge of Infor M3 is beneficial
- Knowledge of customs administration system Proteria or equivalent
- Experience with Warehouse Management Systems (Delivery Toolbox)
- Strong skills in data analysis and performance metrics (Power BI).
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel for generating reports and analyzing data
- Understanding of export and import regulations
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and interpersonal skills
- Travel generally not required.
