Summary

The Inside Sales Manager plays a pivotal leadership role, overseeing the daily operations and strategic direction of the inside sales team. This position is responsible for developing and leading a team to drive revenue growth, nurture customer relationships, and ensure a seamless alignment between sales activities and broader business objectives. The Inside Sales Manager leverages industry knowledge, data-driven insights, and interpersonal skills to connect Hyperion capabilities with market needs. This is a remote position based in the US. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement inside sales strategies that align with the company's overall revenue targets and growth objectives. Collaborate with Sales leadership to ensure inside sales strategy aligns with field sales goals.
  • Lead, coach, and inspire the inside sales team to achieve individual and team goals.
  • Build, maintain, and strengthen relationships with key customers. Ensure excellent service by understanding client requirements, responding to inquiries promptly, and providing solutions that showcase the company’s strengths.
  • Oversee the entire inside sales cycle from lead generation, qualification, and quoting to order processing and after-sales follow-up. Utilize CRM system to track activity, forecast demand, and monitor funnel management.
  • Recruit, train, mentor, and retain high-performing sales staff. Conduct regular performance reviews, foster a culture of continuous improvement, and provide opportunities for professional growth.
  • Work closely with operations, field sales and marketing teams to ensure sales commitments are realistic and fulfilled. Communicate changing customer needs and market trends across departments to facilitate innovation and operational excellence.
  • Prepare detailed sales reports, analyze performance metrics, and present findings to senior management. Use data to identify patterns, optimize processes, and forecast future sales volumes.
  • Maintain a comprehensive understanding of the company’s processes, product lines, and capabilities.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities within target markets. Participate in trade shows, industry events, and networking sessions to generate leads and raise brand awareness.
  • Ensure accurate and timely processing of quotes, orders, and contracts. Resolve order-related issues and follow up to confirm customer satisfaction.
  • Address escalated customer concerns and disputes with professionalism and empathy. Take ownership of issues and drive rapid resolutions to maintain positive relationships.

Education and/or Work Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, marketing, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in sales, with at least 2 years in a managerial or supervisory role, preferably in a manufacturing setting.
  • Demonstrated success in developing and executing sales strategies, managing teams, and achieving revenue targets.
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, supply chain dynamics, and product development cycles.
  • Proficiency with CRM platforms, Microsoft Office Suite, and data analytics software.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including negotiation and presentation abilities.
  • Ability to work collaboratively across disciplines and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proven track record of problem-solving and conflict resolution in customer-facing roles.
