Senior Financial Analyst

Summary

The Senior Financial Analyst will be responsible for overseeing and optimizing Procurement Spend and Savings reporting, SG&A Expense Management, and Headcount Tracking. This role requires strong analytical skills, financial acumen, and the ability to collaborate cross-functionally. The Senior Financial Analyst will conduct detailed financial analysis, monitor expense trends, verify savings calculations, create monthly KPI reports, provide insights and recommendations, and work closely with business stakeholders to achieve cost management objectives. Additionally, they will track headcount and provide analysis on the impact of headcount changes on SG&A expenses. This role presents an exciting opportunity to contribute to cost efficiency and drive informed decision-making in resource allocation.   This is a hybrid role with >60% of time on site in our Dublin, OH corporate office.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Conduct detailed analysis and review of SG&A expenses, including budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and monthly reporting. Identify cost drivers, trends, and anomalies to provide actionable insights to business partners and senior managers.
  • Assemble monthly dashboards for Sourcing & Procurement savings and increase reports by site and category to verify the financial impact.
  • Work with Sourcing & Procurement Category Managers and Buyers to verify spend cube data and make corrections in the spend cube and ERP system as needed.
  • Collaborate with department heads and business leaders to develop and implement cost reduction strategies and initiatives. Drive efficiency improvements by identifying areas for expense optimization, process enhancements, and better collaboration with Procurement.
  • Lead the annual budgeting process for SG&A expenses and headcount. Ensure alignment of expense and headcount targets with overall financial objectives. Provide guidance and support to business stakeholders in developing accurate and achievable plans.
  • Track headcount changes across the organization and analyze their impact on SG&A expenses. Provide insights on the relationship between headcount, resource allocation, and expense management. Collaborate with HR and business leaders to ensure accurate headcount data and alignment with financial goals.
  • Conduct ad hoc financial analyses to evaluate the impact of new business initiatives, cost-saving measures, and operational changes on SG&A expenses and headcount. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to assess investment proposals and ensure alignment with financial objectives.
  • Monitor industry benchmarks and market trends related to SG&A expenses and headcount. Leverage market insights to identify competitive advantages and recommend best practices for cost optimization and resource allocation.
  • Drive process improvements in expense management, headcount tracking, and reporting. Automate reporting and analysis, streamline workflows, and enhance data integrity.
  • Provide support for RFP/ RFQ initiatives and provide recommendations based on the results and analysis.

Education and/or Work Experience

  • Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or other related discipline. Equivalent experience may be substituted in lieu of education. 
  • Three or more years of progressively complex experience in finance/accounting.
