Production Control Specialist

Summary
This position focuses on utilizing internal ERP system for entering customer orders and transacting materials and documentation associated with customer orders while at manufacturing facility. The primary objective of the role is to ensure that customer orders are accepted, entered, have the proper raw materials allocated and delivered to the production team to satisfy the required delivery timing. The position is also responsible for coordination with our key customers to manage delivery needs and manage changes in priority.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Daily use of ERP system for a variety of tasks.
- Inspects manufacturing products in preparation for shipping
- Communication with customers is required to define and clarify customer requirements
- Interpreting and translating data from customers Po’s and print specification into the ERP System
- Help define and develop performance improvement targets for quality, service and efficiency.
- Implement systems to ensure that services and products conform to regulatory requirements
- Process customer purchase orders for maintenance materials, shop supplies to meet the needs of the production teams.
- Purchase and manage material orders for use in the manufacturing and quality process.
- Ethically protect company resources and best interest.
- Assist with shipping and logistics of customer orders.
- Receive, inspect and allocate incoming production materials
- Follow established safety procedures to ensure a clean, safe work environment is promoted and maintained
- Manage external invoices by working with accounts receivable.
- Collaborate with finance to ensure orders can be released to meet delivery commitments.

Education and/or Work Experience
- 3-5 years’ experience in manufacturing.
- Associates degree in related field. Preferred or a combination of additional education and manufacturing experience.
Technical Skills/Physical Requirements
- Good customer communication skills in support of internal and external customers
- Ability to work in ERP system such as Job boss and M3.
- Must have good written and verbal commination skills
- Proficient with presentation and other documentation applications such as Excel, Word and PowerPoint
- Ability to read and interpret product prints and specifications.
- Experience in a manufacturing environment
- Knowledge of problem-solving processes and tools, such as Lean and 5 Why.
- Travel generally not required.
