Account Management Representative

Summary

Hybrid position with homebase Bridgeport, MI.  Elk Grove, Il and Iwin Pa also a consideration. Responsible to find and develop prospective customers, growing sales with small to medium sized customers.  This role will drive market share gain and increase profitability of the Precision Solutions business unit.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Manages relationships with approximately 150 existing and potential Hyperion customers. Contacts customers via email and phone call to drive sales. Identifies opportunities to grow revenue and profitability.
  • Receives leads from Marketing. Identifies, develops and nurtures relationships with former and potential customers who are currently not purchasing Hyperion products. Calls and emails customers to identify customer needs. Cultivates new leads from customer calls and referrals.
  • Analyzes prior product sales to customers and identifies opportunities. Collaborates with sales manager to develop a sales strategy. 
  • Develops product knowledge to share with customers and respond to their questions. 
  • Collaborates with segment manager on pricing, and terms. Closes the sale and follow up on payments. Ensures customers pay in a timely manner.  Makes follow up calls regarding payments. 
  • Develops precall planners, writes summary reports and enters in CRM. Utilizes CRM for customer communication and follow up. 
  • Serves as liaison between customer and commercial teams.   Introduces customers to field sales reps and coordinates onsite visits or consultations when required.  
  • Collaborates with field sales representatives and sales leadership to sell slow moving or obsolete inventory to customers.   
  • Collaborates with customer service to ensure customer orders have been entered. Responds to concerns raised by customers about delivery times and invoicing. Enters complaints in Everest. Follows up with customers and escalates internally as needed. Drives to resolution. 
  • Follows up with customers to ensure their satisfaction with Hyperion products and services. 
  • Achieves monthly sales quotas
  • Attends sales meetings to understand company strategies and provide insight.  

Qualifications

Export Control Requirements - This position must meet export control compliance requirements, a "U.S. Person" as defined by 22 C.F.R. is required.  "U.S. Person" includes U.S\. Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.

Education and/or Work Experience

  • Associates preferred or additional education in Marketing, Business or Mechanical/Material Science Engineering.
  • 4-6 years of experience in technical sales in a manufacturing business to business environment
  • Or equivalent combination of education and experience

Technical Skills/Physical Requirements

  • Experience in Microsoft Dynamics or similar system a plus 
  • Ability to navigate a complex organization and execute across multiple functions
  • Self-Starter and highly motivated
  • Strong communication (written and verbal), interpersonal, and organization skills 
  • Experience with CRM and industrial business-to-business products
  • Proven professionalism with the ability to use discretion and sound business judgment
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office: Outlook, Word, PowerPoint and Excel
  • High attention to detail required
  • Ability to read and interpret Engineering drawings/GD&T associated with drawings.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Travel - 10% domestically.
