Sourcing and Purchasing Specialist

Job Summary

Our mission is to increase profitability for the business by focusing on cost, quality, delivery, and service. The responsibilities will be:

 

  • To analyze spend data and to identify potential saving projects and process improvement opportunities for different production units to deliver cost reduction initiatives.
  • Management of RFX process to support supplier selection, aligned with global strategy.
  • Negotiation of capital equipment projects (CAPEX) and price increase negotiations.
  • Supplier management (annual contracts, supplier performance and evaluation, etc.).
  • To plan and lead negotiations with suppliers, develop, and administer supply agreements and contracts with suppliers in support of Hyperion business needs and strategy.
  • Development and implementation of local and international sourcing strategies.
  • Ensure satisfaction of internal stakeholders providing quality and timely sourcing services and leading internal improvement projects.
  • Analyze and stay updated on trends in relevant supply markets
  • Ensure high quality, update and manage spend data in ERP, and other applicable systems according to policies and procedures.
  • Eventual support to issue and schedule purchase orders based on set production plans, MRP suggestions and manual requisitions for mechanical, electro-mechanical components, spare parts, and professional services
  • Ensure compliance to Hyperion’s global procurement policy.
  • Support Procurement KPIs and targets including but not limited to cost reduction projects, on time delivery, PO’s past due, variance to budget, and response rate.

 

Your profile

We are looking for someone with:

  • University degree
  • Minimum 4 years’ experience in a position related to purchasing, sourcing, or production accompanied with strong technical background and the ability to read mechanical draws and CAD-designs.
  • Knowledge of machining processes and interpretation of plans and mechanical designs will be valued.
  • You need to have skills in meticulous attention to detail, analytical, well-organized person who feels comfortable following procedures and policies.
  • International mindset.
  • Very good level of English, written and verbal for global communication
  • Advanced user of MS Office.
  • Experience in the ERP environment.
