Industrialization Engineer

Summary

Support Quality, Production and Maintenance to create procedures, methods and specifications where Engineering support is required.
Follow up running projects. 
Promote cultural changes and drive basic tasks (projects’ protocol, kaizen, scrap control, kanban, poka yoke…).
Collaborate closely with the PMT department in the industrialization of new products. Follow up calendar for delivery dates established on Department projects/duties.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Contribute to the definition of new products (project team).
  • Be aware of new technologies development (pressing, hard turning, soft machining).
  • Be essential in the new industrializations for new products developments.
  • Adapt the present production process to new products.
  • Achieve the targets of Quality, Cost and delivery for new products industrialization.
  • Communicate effectively the probable industrial risks to the production team and to de segment team.
  • Link and adapt the segment necessities for new products to the production situation.
  • Participate actively in the Plant engineering Team (process improvements, investment plan, kaizen activities)

Qualifications

Education and/or Work Experience

  • Industrial Engineer (Mechanics or Materials specialization)
  • Methodic, analytic, disciplined.

Technical Skills/Physical Requirements

  • 3 years at least of experience in new product/process industrialization and implementation.
  • Competence in pressing, turning, and grinding processes. Proven experience.
  • Languages: fluent English required. Spanish is valuable.
  • Project management experience.
  • Microsoft Office high skills
  • Lean manufacturing general knowledge and experience (VSM, problem solving, …)
  • Communication skills and adept at multidisciplinary team working.
