Account Specialist (Remote)

Summary

This position will ensure delivery of excellent customer service through prompt and accurate processing of orders.  The Account Specialist will assist with resolving inquiries by communicating and coordinating order activities with other departments. This position will be remote, but we prefer applicants based close to our Ohio or Michigan locations due to occasional team meetings.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • First point of customer contact for general inquiries such as order intake, pricing, products, scheduling, etc. 
  • Enter orders, prioritize global allocation of products, and communicate delivery 
  • Liaison between customer / commercial teams / production and supply chain / other internal departments
  • Obtain and evaluate all relevant information to process and resolve customer inquiries and complaints 
  • Work with manufacturing to improve sales forecasts / availability and to ensure on-time shipments via scheduling, prioritization of post press processes, etc. 
  • Primary phone coverage for incoming calls to customer center 
  • Interface with freight couriers and freight forwarder

Qualifications

Travel: Not generally required.

Education and/or Work Experience

  • High School diploma 
  • 2-year degree preferred
  • 3– 5 years of experience in customer service or related field

Technical Skills/Physical Requirements

  • Experience in Oracle and M3 or similar system a plus
  • Ability to navigate a complex organization and execute across multiple functions
  • Self-Starter and highly motivated
  • Strong communication (written and verbal), interpersonal, and organization skills 
  • Experience with customer order entry of industrial business-to-business products
  • Proven professionalism with the ability to use discretion and sound business judgment
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office: Outlook, Word, PowerPoint and Excel
  • Must have the ability to quickly learn Customer Service software applications, experience in M3 and Oracle OM preferred
  • High attention to detail required
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work flexible schedule, extended hours and occasional overtime
